Aizuwakamatsu city, located at Fukushima Prefecture in Tohoku(North-eastern) area in Japan. It's my second stop in my 17-days winter journey in Japan. It's a popular spot for cherry blossom and autumn leaves. If you come here in winter, you can enjoy the marvelous snow view of the Tsuruga Castle and the city in black and white.
Kumano City is a small town with World Heritage on the coast - Onigajo (ghost rock) and Shishiiwa (lion rock). They are the nature miracle formed by years of erosion by sea waves. You can go hiking in Kumano koto(ancient trail) or choose to do nothing but staring at the marvelous sea view.
[w/video]Kamakura Festival(Matsuri) light up -dreamy winter night snow scenery -Yunishigawa Onsen,Nikko,Japan
My first time seeing snow! かまくら祭(Kamakura Festival/Matsuri) is held in winter each year in Yunishigawa, Nikko, Tochigi Pref., which lasts about one month. At that period, various cute snowmen will be handmade by local people and put in front of their houses and shops. And the dreamy scenery by the river at night time is certificated as one of the historical-culture night views in Japan.
Unless you are a vegetarian, I bet you are having a meaty meal each day when you are traveling. Miyakoyasai Kamo(都野菜賀茂) is a vegetarian buffet restaurant in Kyoto. It provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And for breakfast, it just costs ¥500 and you can enjoy the food as much as you want to. Grab the chance to take in more fiber!
This is a trailer video of my 17-days trip in Japan in this winter. Actually, I've been started planning this trip a half year before that. In the trip, I went to the popular Shirakawago light-up event, Tohoku area(NE Japan), Fuji Yama area, Nagano Pref. , Kanazawa.....etc. And none of them disappointed me!!
This summer, you have to go to Kansai for this Nachi Fire Festival(Matsuri) in Wakayama Pref. of West Japan!
Nachi Fire Festival is held on 14 July each year, one of the largest fire festivals of Japan. The atmosphere there is really fascinating and exciting to me.While going on a trip is all about having fun. It's a good way to have fun just by taking place in a Matsuri and you don't even have to pay a single dollar for it.
